C10100/TU2 Copper Plate

C10100/TU2 is a high-purity oxygen-free copper plate. C10100 is a designation in the ASTM standard of the United States, while TU2 is a designation in the Chinese national standard.

Detailed Introduction

  • Chemical Composition: The copper content of C10100 copper plate is not less than 99.99%, while that of TU2 copper plate is approximately 99.95%. Both contain trace amounts of impurity elements such as silver, tin, zinc, and lead, with extremely low oxygen content—for example, the oxygen content of TU2 copper plate is 0.003%.
  • Physical Properties: It exhibits excellent electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. C10100 has higher electrical conductivity than ordinary oxygen-free copper, about 1% higher than TU2. Additionally, it features high density, high melting point, and good diamagnetism.
  • Mechanical Properties: With a tensile strength of ≥205MPa and an elongation of ≥40%, it possesses high strength and good ductility, capable of meeting the requirements of various complex processing and forming operations.
  • Processing Performance: It has superior hot and cold working properties, and is easy to perform processing operations such as cutting, bending, drilling, and stamping. It can be manufactured into products of various shapes and sizes through processes like rolling, forging, and drawing.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Due to its high purity and low impurity content, TU2 copper plate has good corrosion resistance, enabling it to adapt to various harsh environments. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in the atmosphere, fresh water, and seawater.
  • Application Fields: It is mainly used in fields such as electronic vacuum instrument components and conductive connectors. For instance, it can be used as busbars, waveguides, electron tube lead-ins and anodes, vacuum seals, transistor components, klystrons, magnetrons, rectifiers, etc. In addition, it is also applicable for crafting artworks and handicrafts, and has certain applications in architectural decoration, the automotive industry, household appliances, and other fields.
  • Dimensional Specifications: The thickness typically ranges from 0.3mm to 100mm, the width from 50mm to 2500mm, and the length from 1000mm to 12000mm. Customized special sizes can also be provided according to customer requirements.
  • Surface Treatment: Common surface treatments include rolled surface, polishing, anodizing, wire drawing, sandblasting, powder coating, etc., to meet different usage requirements and appearance effects.
